Education Opportunities

We have several services and opportunities available for schools, clubs, youth groups, and more! We want to educate the public about animal welfare and how they can participate at the shelter and in their community.

Reading to Rescues

Schedule

We welcome groups big and small to come to our shelter to read to our cats and dogs. Our animals LOVE the interaction and it's a great way for students to read to nonjudgmental listeners!

Tour of Facility

Schedule

Anyone is welcome to schedule a tour of our facility! If you would like more information about something specific while you are here, just let us know! We encourage you to learn about our shelter and what we do!

Group Volunteering

Schedule

If you need a good cause to volunteer your time, we would love to have you! We have lots of activities and work for volunteers to participate in. All of the activities help our shelter and provide enrichment for the animals. We accept groups of all sizes and ages!

We Visit You!

Schedule

We love to educate the public about animals and the services that our shelter provides. We can visit schools and community events to speak on topics of interest or bring an animal for you to visit with.

Service Projects

Schedule

We have lots of needs that are perfect for service projects! This could be a small or large-scale project for Eagle Scouts, Youth Groups, Class projects, and more!

Internships

Schedule

We accept a limited number of interns during the school year as well as during the summer. There are several areas to intern including shelter care, social media, and several other areas of shelter work.
